About Mahfam Barzegarpour

Mahfam Barzegarpour is a UK-based artist living in Birmingham, working primarily in biomorphic abstract painting. She is currently completing her BA (Hons) Fine Art degree at Birmingham City University (Class of 2025) and will begin her MA in Fine Art in September 2025.

Her practice explores themes of spirituality, nature, and inner transformation. Starting with realism at the age of 11, Mahfam gradually developed her own intuitive language through abstraction. Her work is rooted in organic forms, flowing brushstrokes, and a desire to express what is felt rather than seen.

In addition to painting, she has a growing interest in textile design, particularly through paint transfer techniques using heat and print. This approach allows her to expand her practice beyond canvas, exploring movement, repetition, and material sensitivity.

Mahfam hopes her art brings a sense of calm and reflection to those who engage with it. She invites viewers to slow down, explore their inner landscapes, and see life with curiosity and openness. Each piece is an offering an emotional and spiritual space where connection is possible.
